Mickie Chandra, VP of Programs. MCCPTA Programs committees lead initiatives in culture, arts, and in recognizing individuals who embody excellence in leadership. The Cultural Arts Committee supports local PTAs in connecting their schools to a diverse community of performers and artists for assemblies and school-based events. The Reflections Program is a National PTA sponsored program that is administered at the local level. The Reflections Committee supports school PTAs in implementing this signature poster contest that recognizes student artists, with recognitions and scholarships for outstanding works with opportunities to advance through the county, state, and national levels. The Celebrations Committee awards and recognizes leaders who have made a noteworthy impact in service of those within our MCPS community. This committee hosts the annual Celebration of Excellence gala where the MCPS community gathers with to its remarkable leaders. As the Vice President of Programs, Mickie’s aims to provide support to the Committees so that they can continue to successfully offer these initiatives while improving accessibility to participation and engagement. Offering the most relevant programming for MCPS communities is high priority. Therefore, we invite feedback on how to improve our program offerings.
