The MCCPTA Technology Committee is a standing committee that reports to the Vice President of Educational Issues. The committee's work includes educating families on technology issues such as the positive and negative impacts of artificial intelligence and other technology in the classroom, the importance of data security and data privacy, and navigating MCPS's many technology platforms. The committee also advocates for distraction-free schools and empowering families to have the ability to opt out of educational technology and request alternatives.
