A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
As MCCPTA's new SSL subcommittee chair, I hope to provide you with regular information on the student service learning program and related volunteer opportunities.
To get started, here are some resources I recommend checking out. Feel free to pass these along to your school listservs (most appropriate for middle and high schools since those are the years when students can/must earn SSL hour credits toward the graduation requirement).
Subscribe to Montgomery County Volunteer Center's monthly e-newsletter, which highlights volunteer opportunities (including many designated as SSL preapproved)
Volunteer Center's Facebook page, featuring many last-minute SSL opportunities
Overview of the SSL program, including links to required forms
Please let me know if you have any questions.
