There are nine (9) Standards of Continuing Affiliation (SoCA) requirements mandated and monitored by Maryland PTA to maintain the good standing of your local PTA/PTSA. As the treasurer, you are responsible for taking a lead role in completing six of them, including being one of two board members from your PTA to attend mandatory financial training.  Good standing not only preserves your non-profit 501(c)3 status, but it ensures that your students can participate in the Reflections program through the National PTA level and allows you to attend the Maryland PTA Summer Convention and cast a vote!  CLICK HERE for more information on SoCA Requirements.
