Events

Regular MCCPTA meetings (Delegates Assemblies or DAs) are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month during the school year. The business meetings start at 7:30 PM, and are preceded by an MCCPTA Presents! program. The DAs are held at the Carver Educational Services Center in Rockville, and are open to all PTA members. The privileges of introducing motions and voting, however, are limited to the voting body which consists of the MCCPTA officers, area vice presidents, cluster coordinators, and committee chairs, the president or alternate and two accredited delegates or their alternates from member PTAs/PTSAs. The monthly meetings provide an opportunity for delegates to present ideas, debate issues, become better informed, make personal contacts with other PTA leaders, and vote on MCCPTA actions.  Business at these meetings is governed by Standing Rules adopted by the delegates.

Reminders of monthly Delegates Assemblies will be announced via our e-mailing list and on this website. Meetings will be cancelled if Montgomery County Public Schools are closed for weather or other emergency conditions on the scheduled meeting date.  

MCCPTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS
MCCPTA Board of Directors meetings are typically held on the first Thursday of each month starting at 7:30 PM at the Carver Educational Services Center.  The MCCPTA Board of Directors consists of elected MCCPTA officers, the immediate past president, area vice presidents, cluster coordinators, and committee chairs.  Board of Directors meetings are open to all members of constituent PT(S)As, but only members of the Board of Directors may engage in presentations and debate, put forward actions or information, and vote.
